The Gold Circle®  is a special tribute given by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences to honor persons who began their career in television at least 50 years ago.  Their career may be in a performing, creative, technical or an administrative role within the industry or in an area directly related to television, such as television commercial production, television journalism, and educational television.
