The Gold Circle

The Gold Circle award signifies achievement for at least 50 years in Michigan broadcasting. The rare award recipient is usually described as a broadcaster who has set a gold standard of excellence in achieving this incredible five-decade career achievement. For 2008, the Michigan Chapter of NATAS awards its Gold Circle status to:

The awards were presented at a luncheon at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham, Michigan on Sunday, February 24th. The Toyota Motor Car Corporation is the sponsor of this event.

NATAS (The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences) is a national organization founded in 1955 to promote artistic, educational and technical achievements within the television industry. The Academy hosts and sponsors national Emmy Awards and is the umbrella organization for several regional chapters, including Michigan.
